“Missing someone gets easier every day.
Because, even though it is one day
further from the last time you saw each other,
it is one day closer to the next time you will.”

Life Goes On

It's almost been 2 weeks since Elder Brandley left on his mission, and I will be the first to admit it is an adjustment!!! But, life goes on.  But to answer everyone's questions: Yes, i do feel like something is missing, I don’t love Phillip any less (absence makes the heart grow fonder don’t ya know.), and no i won't be married in 3 months, 10 months or even 24 months. Mmmk, and I do actually function without my other half (not as efficiently, but i do it!).
As far as what is up in the Wonderful World of Meg: Fall semester is O-V-E-R!!! I'm contemplating making a shirt that says "I survived fall semester 2010 at Weber State." What a beast.
Holidays are keeping me on the busier side of psychotic.  If only it would snow so it would actually feel like Christmas!
Life lesson of the past 2 weeks: Embrace the moment even if it is screaming out loud in the middle of a testing center when you passed a 6 hour math test...Always put the cap back on your gas tank, don't listen to what other people say, and....play the ukulele all the time; you cannot be depressed while playing a uke. Life. Lesson.

Called To Serve...

On September 29, 2010 Phillip was called to serve in the San Bernardino California Mission.  I couldn't be more excited for him! I've been able to watch Phill transform into a missionary in the most amazing ways.  He has completely turned his life around in only a year! It's been one of the greatest blessings of my life watching him progress into the amazing man that he is today!  When we first started dating he wasn't sure where to go or what to do with his life. But as he started to make some steps in the right direction, he told me he had decided to serve a mission.  He has been diligently working towards that goal ever since.  I am so blessed to have Phill as a part of my life, his testimony of the gospel, willingness to serve others, and positivity inspires me every day! He is going to be and amazing missionary, he will report to the MTC on December 1st.... (That’s so soon!) To be honest...I'm not ready to let him go, but I don't think I ever could be. I love my missionary! I'm so proud of who he is and who he will become! 2=∞!

Something wicked this way comes!

This Halloween, Phillip and I dressed up like a mobster and flapper from the 1920's, so fun! We went dancing at Studio 600 in Salt Lake City. What a blast, that Phillip sure has moves! I'm not much of a dancer but I knew if i offered dancing it might avert him from forcing me to go to a haunted house again....I am not a fan! Halloween really isn't my thing but I try to play along for Phill.  It turns out that my dance moves were scary enough to keep Phill away from the hauted houses, praise the sky for not being able to dance! haha Happy Late Halloween!
